One of the questions I am asked most often is, "What's new at the Chamber?"

The answer is simple: we are constantly looking for new ways to support our local business community. While networking events and ribbon cuttings are an important part of what we do, they are only one piece of the larger picture. Every year, we evaluate the needs of our business community and develop programs, educational opportunities, and resources that help businesses grow, overcome challenges, and stay informed. Here are just a few of the initiatives currently making an impact throughout the Temecula Valley.

Small Business Wednesdays

Running a business can be overwhelming, and sometimes owners simply need access to experienced professionals who can help them navigate challenges before they become bigger problems. That is why the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce partners with the Inland Empire Small Business Development Center (IE SBDC) to host Small Business Wednesdays every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Chamber office.

Businesses can schedule an appointment, or simply walk in, to meet one-on-one with business advisor Robert "Bob" Kirkpatrick, an accomplished executive with decades of experience in commercial real estate, banking, business development, and executive leadership. Throughout his career, Bob has served as President and CEO of The Rancon Companies, President and COO of CataList Homes, Vice Chairman of the Board and Director of Fallbrook & Community National Bank, and President and Co-founder of Benchmark Escrow, among many other leadership roles.

Whether a business owner needs assistance reviewing financial statements, creating a business or marketing plan, discussing human resources concerns, planning for growth, or solving operational challenges, these confidential consultations provide valuable guidance at no cost. Supporting Our Restaurant Community

Restaurants are among the most challenging businesses to own and operate. Rising costs, workforce shortages, changing consumer expectations, and new regulations continue to create obstacles for restaurant owners.

Recognizing these challenges, the Chamber created the Restaurant Collective, a program held twice each year specifically for businesses in the restaurant industry. The Restaurant Collective brings together restaurant owners, managers, industry experts, and service providers for educational presentations, valuable resources, and meaningful networking opportunities. Participants learn about current industry trends, hear from expert speakers, discover new products and services, and build relationships with other local restaurant professionals who understand the unique challenges of the industry.

By creating opportunities for collaboration rather than competition, we are helping strengthen one of the most important sectors of our local economy.

Helping Nonprofits Find New Funding Opportunities

Nonprofit organizations play an essential role in strengthening our community. They provide critical services, support local families, enrich our quality of life, and often partner with businesses throughout the region. To help these organizations thrive, the Chamber hosts the Non-Profit Funder's Forum each year. This event connects nonprofit leaders with regional and national funding organizations that provide grants and financial support beyond traditional local fundraising efforts. Attendees learn about upcoming funding opportunities, application timelines, grant requirements, and best practices for submitting competitive proposals. When our nonprofit community is successful, the entire community benefits, including the businesses that employ and serve local residents.

The Chamber continues to welcome new members every week, representing a wide variety of industries throughout the Temecula Valley.
